Oh my dear sweet lord

More cringeworthy than Kucinich singing "16 tons"? I'm so torn...

I laughed and laughed, and yet... so sad.

I know. The world makes me cry.

I spent years of my life beating myself up for not being smart enough. Turns out all I needed was Youtube. This shit is better than therapy.

But yeah. Sad.

omg...this is why beauty pagents need to no longer exist.

Looks as though a better question for this contestant would have been, "can you, personally, locate the US on a map?". I would love to see her try.

Wow. I feel dumber.

This is sad. Funny and sad.

What in the hell was that? Something about Osama? And Iraq and South Africa. I definitely understood that Iraq and South Africa were central to answering the question.

And Asian countries. I bet those countries were made by Asians! Or out of Asians! Or by Asian education that supports Osama in South Africa because the US doesn't have maps!

Oh, there is no end to the mock that is possible with this video.

Jaw-droppingly,
Hyoun

What I said to Segev is that it sounds like she's some sort of fembot and all her systems crashed simultaneously. "I personally, personally to me, think that U.S. Americans, many U.S. Americans don't have maps, and such as South Africa, and the Iraq, and the Asia, and BUILD UP OUR FUTURE, and with the childrens, and ASKDHBAURHSBK NO CARRIER"

this is the best explanation i've seen yet. it was just a steady stream of words, none of which fit together.

she tried to explain on the today show that she had never been on television and was really nervous and whatever. but i tend to think that she's been doing the pageant thing since she was a kid and working towards that one moment. it was a bit of a softball question and, well, she really, really flubbed it.

hilarious, though. south carolina never fails to amuse me. :)

Well, the girl who won got some question like "Who do you like better, Paris, Lindsay, or Nicole?" So yes, if you're operating in that frame of reference, it was an extremely difficult question. How sad is that?

[identity profile] this-monograph.livejournal.com 2007-09-09 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
that is very, very sad. what a stupid question! who cares?
(and for the record, i would have answered lindsay, but just because on occasion, she can act okay.)

The Iraq?

"And everywhere like such as.."

What a marvelous turn of phrase...

what the hell does it mean?

I think I'm going to say that all the time now. Whycome she don't know about everywhere like such as the Iraq?

I think my brain just exploded. WHERE ARE MY MAPS?

[identity profile] notcotuit.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed sad. But what I find really problematic is that she is nowhere near gorgeous enough to get away with being that stupid.
And, huh?
