-why does everyone in chelsea want to live there when it's such a crap neighborhood? there's so little to do except over in the warehouses where horrible house music parties go on really late at night.

-why do women have to be naked in ads for watches? and why are there so many goddamn stores that sell watches, anyway?

-why don't any of the cheapo stores sell necklaces with crosses on them? is it blasphemous to wear crosses at easter-time? i wouldn't think so. this is basically because the easter motherfucker party is easter-themed, so i thought i would try to at least wear a big gaudy cross. oh well. i can just put big red sharpie dots on my hands and say it's stigmata.

-why did some dork put a stellastarr* sticker up on the plastic divider in the cab i was in? that's someone else's cab! people in this city are so disrespectful. which reminds me -- i saw an awful lot of dog shit in the course of my travels.

-why is madison square garden up on 34th and 8th when madison park is on (duh) madison and 23rd?

also -- i outed a friend of mine last night. uh. oops?

i feel so dumb.

Try Religious Sex down on St. Marks for some inappropriately Easter themed stuff :-)

yeah, i know i should really be looking in the east village. madison avenue just isn't the place to find something fun. where exactly is religious sex -- is it the place between 3rd and 2nd?

yep

its on the north side of the street pretty close to third. If you are looking for inappropriate clothing in general, there's also a place called search and destroy that is almost directly across from a clothing store called NYC Japan...there's also a lot of Afghani restaurants in the area (or there were)...I don't know if they are still around

yeah, now i know for sure where's you're talking about. it's just a couple of basements down from st. marks comics. and nyc japan...i thought that was that toy store -- no, that's toy tokyo. i wish i lived in the east village. look at all this cool STUFF!

That's one of the things I want to do before I die. It's main weak point right now is that it'd be a pain in the ass to get to Columbia from there

Target sells 'em. At least, mine does. I needed a silver chain for a Native American charm, and the only necklaces that would hold it came with crosses.

i think there's one in queens. and certainly a few in new jersey. when i go to florida to visit my parents, i always go on a target run. once i even wanted to buy a rug there, but segev calmly explained to me how hard that would be to take on the airplane and then get home from JFK.
