See, free societies are societies that don't develop weapons of mass terror and don't blackmail the world.
hmm. but WE'RE a free society, and WE possess weapons of mass terror (in fact, we developed 'em first. thanks, us!) and WE blackmail the world. that's ironic, isn't it?

Date: 2004-02-09 09:50 am (UTC)As long as Dubya is artfully espousing contradictions, I'd like to hear him explain why even as he warns our colonies of Iraq and Afghanistan against allowing undue religious fundamentalist influence in the formation of their new governments, his administration is happily in bed with Christian fundamentalists here--to the point where he's now supporting the effort to codify their concept of sin into the Constitution and disenfranchise the rights of an entire segment of the population. Y'know, the kind of thing that we've nagged or are nagging both those societies to avoid in drafting their own constitutions, funnily enough.
