phamosthis is a new user icon of jon stewart holding his very own flat stanley.
flat stanley is apparently a character in a children's book of some kind. when we were freshment in college, amity received a flat stanley in the mail from her cousin abby. she told amity to create her own flat stanley, you know, copy the form and then color it herself, and send it back to her. amity and i created a very deviant flat person. we then christened him "flat albert" and sent it back to abby. i hope it didn't get her in trouble at school. :)
