fuck. i just popped my knee out and it really hurts. i continue to be a ridiculous specimen of a human being, as damian helpfully pointed out last night.

is anybody upset about how pork-barrel this energy bill is? oh well, i'll just have to revel in gay-marriage. until it gets overturned. *sigh*

my knees send your knee sympathy vibes and gentle reminders to get back in place.

Mmm, pork!

But Maggie, we have a REPUBLICAN government now. You know, fiscal responsibility, individual freedoms, all that. Are you suggesting that this bill represents something different?

*shock*

Outragedly,
Hyoun

Ach, you misquoting fiend!

And yes, the 'energy' bill is a travesty. But predictably so. Mark Fiore had the right take on it even as it was still on the drawing board.

The 21st Century and its innovations of progress will start any day now, really. Or maybe not until we hit Crisis-ville maybe two decades from now. Aren't you glad we'll be here to see it?

Oh crap; I just posted a big rant about the bill, but you beat me to it.

I actually have to admire Congress for its remarkable energy bill. It's really quite a delicious combination of graft, short-sightedness, wanton ignorance, and willful destruction. A thing of beauty — the kind of legislation that only comes along once every decade or so.
