i am very content with this year's emmy nominations.

yay! peter c. hall! lauren ambrose! matt leblanc! cynthia nixon! jennifer garner! victor garber! hella cool!

and i don't really watch malcolm in the middle, but every time i have bryan cranston has cracked me the fuck up, so i am REALLY happy he got recognized.

i am not surprised or dissappointed that no one from buffy was nominated for acting prizes -- i don't actually know about the writing nominations, though. i think if THIS had been the year they were finally recognized, it would have been shitty. they should have been nominated in the third year. now they're just trolling for emmys and doing a crap job of it, which is one of the factors (IMHO) leading to the decline in the show's quality.

"Once More With Feeling" should not have been put up for consideration. It was far from the best episode of the season. Matter of fact, not a lot memroable happened until the last 4 eps of the season. I am so looking forward to their return to the lighter, funnier Buffy of years past. Josh has promised us he will. Which is why I think Spike got his sould back -- so that William the Bad Poet can provide much-needed comic relief.
