new harry potter book: harry potter and the half-blood prince. not a really catchy title, but one that makes me pretty curious about the content. apparently the half-blood prince is neither harry nor voldemort. are there any other significant male mudbloods in the series? or is this going to be some new character all together? i just re-read book 5, completely coincidentally, so this news has made me all "so it's coming out tomorrow, right? real soon? yeah? huh?" and really, she's probably written about 2 paragraphs so far. j.k., quit bathing yourself with money and hop to on the writing thing.

also, i've decided that the 4th book should be two movies. they cut way too much out of the third one, and the fourth one's way more complex. and look at the business kill bill did split into 2 parts. time warner would make a FORTUNE if it started plitting the rest of the books into 2, and they'd probably be better movies for it. especially the fifth one -- ain't no WAY they can fit that into one movie.

so apparently mary kate is actually a cokehead, but she might still be anorexic too. no one really knows. and the british press says britney's pregnant. can we all just admit that we have no idea what's going on in these people's lives?

the "it's not anorexia -- IT'S DRUGS!" headline kinda cracks me up. like, it's just going to keep getting more and more startling. "not just drugs, it's DEVIL WORSHIP!" "devil-worshipping olsen twin EATS JEWISH BABIES!" "anti-semite mary kate skull-fucks reagan corpse with sparkly dildo!"

crap. now curiosa is cancelled. don't concert promoters realize that the fans of these bands are slackers and aren't going to buy tickets months in advance? i guess i'm gonna have to go to little steven's garage festival to get my festival fix. that and the siren festival. interestingly enough, one of these fests is $20 and the other is free. so i'll be saving a lot of money, at least.

all the news that's fit to print. sad thing is, they're about the best print media we've got.
