state of the union

ok, that little black girl had to be a plant. who takes a kid to the state of the union address? no other kids in the whole room, but there's one right on the aisle where bush is going to be walking, so he can pick her up, and she just has to be black, right? and then they flash to her clapping again during the speech, having no idea what she's clapping for. that's shameless.

i lost it hard when they flashed to ted kennedy. it was right after bush took credit for giving prescription drugs to seniors, and they show teddy shaking his head and actually rolling his eyes. i cackled. segev told me to shut up. oh! and they just flashed to himn again. his face was all red, and he had his head in his hands and was shaking his head. and then they flashed to hilary, who was reluctantly clapping with this look on her face like she'd just swallowed something totally sour. hee! that's the best reason to watch this -- the reactions.

i also liked when a whole bunch of democrats clapped for the expiration of the patriot act. but then all the republicans outroared 'em when bush basically said that it should be renewed.

i think he just says nucular on purpose now, to sound "folksy". or else to fuel a thousand drinking games.
