All the credit for this post should go to Matthew Perpetua over on Tumblr -- he spotted the similarity and I just about died laughing.
According to Wikipedia, Ed Lover now hosts a radio show on Power 105.1 in NYC. Which means he's having considerably more career success than his former co-host. I guess going by the name Doctor Dre becomes a hindrance when there's another higher profile artist in the same general field. I didn't actually watch a lot of Yo! MTV Raps in my youth, so I knew them more for their appearances on the spring break specials. Does MTV still do that spring break stuff? I can't really bring myself to watch that channel anymore. And yet I still know who Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad are. Go figure.
