phamosangel makes no sense. i mean...angel makes. no. sense.
so, cordelia was really dead. so nobody really saw her. but wait, she was totally integral to the plot. so nothing in the plot really happened? no. so everyone DID see her and she WAS alive. but actually she was dead. so...what?
and now lindsay's gone? and the reason he wanted to get to angel was because...he was jealous? that angel had something that lindsay...could have had himself if he hadn't decided to grow a conscience and leave town? and eve works for the senior partners. who are not the powers that be. but lindsay was hiding FROM the senior partners? and cordy was sent by the powers that be? too many invisible conglomerates!
they really did feel the need to cram all the shorthand-representations of each of cordy's character traits into 42 minutes, didn't they? cordy is snarky! she loves to shop! she's sorry that she was possessed and killed lilah, because she really cares about wesley and once upon a time had a crush on him. she loved connor, but we won't mention that she slept with him, because eew. she's angel's conscience! she has visions! she's saint cordy! she luuuurves him! he's her CHAMP-EEN! she say all the things that nobody else will! and at the end, she'll end up validating whatever angel thought all along!
she was such a caricature that it made me really sad. sad to remember the cordy i used to really like had become this crappy romantic lead mary sue. and sad that it didn't even really hit me at the end -- cordelia is dead. and nobody's going to tell xander. boo.
