spin magazine this month refers to pj harvey's "sheela-na-gig" as "her best 'fuck off, i love you' song." have i just totally been misreading this song all these years? i've never found anything even resembling "i love you" anywhere in that song. oh well.

went to see some bands last night at pianos. nothing great. the highlight was that joe lotruglio from the state was there with paul rudd. so that's my lower-east-side celebrity sighting for the next couple months. have to keep stocked up.
